| NEW STAINLESS STEEL PNEUMATIC ACTUATOR | |
| Houston, TXOctober 5, 2001Bray Controls announces a new 316 stainless steel pneumatic actuator. The quarter turn Series 90/91 is a rack and pinion, opposed-piston actuator with both double acting and spring return models. Five sizes of the Series 90/91 are offered with a range of output torque from 50 to 8675 lb.-ins. and a temperature range of -40¡F to 200¡F. All models are suitable for both on/off and throttling applications. Actuators comply with ISO 5211 standards for mounting actuator to valves. A double D shaft is standard and a double square shaft is available. These actuators meet NAMUR standards for accessory mounting. The Series 90/91 actuators deliver high output torque in an efficient space-saving housing. With a low coefficient of friction, this pneumatic actuator provides superior high-cycle, long lasting service. A unique feature of the Series 91 spring return units is the spring cartridge system. This spring system offers safety, simplicity and reduced space requirements. The housing length of the spring return model is the same as the double acting model. Additional features include a highly visible valve position indicator, manual override and travel stops located in the end caps to limit the travel of actuator to specific degrees of rotation. For additional bidirectional adjustment, optional travel stops limit actuator travel in the open and closed position by means of a cam located on the output shaft. Bray International, Inc., headquartered in Houston, is a leader and innovator in process control automation, with worldwide manufacturing and distribution facilities. Products include automated and manual 1" through 72" butterfly valves, pneumatic and electric actuators, valve status monitors, electro-pneumatic and pneumatic positioners, solenoid valves and control accessories.
