Fairmont, MN–October 26, 2001–Weigh-Tronix, Inc, has introduced two rugged new floor scales for use in food and chemical applications where frequent washdown and washthrough poerations are required. The SilverLine Series includes Hinge-Top and PolyTop models that help maintain the highest sanitary standards in demanding wasdown and chemical applications with hermetically-sealed stainless steel load cells and durable full stainless steel construction.

The FCQP PolyTop Floor Scale is highly resistant to hostile chemicals, including organic solvents. The lightweight polyethylene deck plate is easy for one person to remove during washdown, eliminating the need for extra personnel to aid in the process.

The FCQH Hinge-Top Floor Scale also requires just one person to lift the 304 stainless steel hinge-top deck, which is then supported by stainless steel gas shocks and an integrated safety catch for cleaning/sanitizing operations. Stainless steel bolt-together or welded frames are available for in-pit installations. The Hinge-Top is offered with safety treads or smooth top deck plates.

SilverLine Series scales are available in 2,000 lb., 5,000 lb., and 10,000 lb. capacities in 23 different size/capacity configurations. Both scale types have top access leveling and remote stainless steel junction boxes.
